The truce between Inter and manager Antonio Conte will not last forever and the situation will have to be resolved shortly according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

Tensions between the club and manager have heightened in the past few days following his most recent public outburst after the 2-0 win over Atalanta and if the situation is not resolved shortly, there must be enough time left over to plan for a future with another manager.

Inter president Steven Zhang, who is in constant contact with club chief executives, will not give Conte a carte blanche when it comes to the transfer market nor will he give Conte the military style control that he wants at the club.

Zhang is however willing to do everything he can, and perhaps something more, to satisfy Conte but the club’s accounts will have to be protected.

The report from the Rome based news outlet goes on to explain that it will be difficult for relations to be repaired between the club and Conte so much so that Inter could use just cause as a case for dismissal but Inter do not want to go down that road. If Conte is to leave, it will only be by mutual agreement.
