Italian journalist Paolo Condo feels that Inter’s record against Real Madrid has been a major blot on their record over the past two seasons.

Speaking to Sky Sport Italia following the Nerazzurri’s 2-0 defeat against the Merengues in the Champions League yesterday evening, Condo highlighted the fact that his made it four losses from four against that opposition.

Inter have drawn Real in their Champions League group for the past two seasons, and the Merengues appear to have become something of a bogey side for them in the competition.

Last season Antonio Conte was in charge of the Nerazzurri and Zinedine Zidane the Merengues, and it was the French coach who got the better of both meetings.

This time around both sides had Italian coaches in the form of Simone Inzaghi and Carlo Ancelotti respectively, but once again it was the side from the Spanish capital who were able to triumph both times the clubs came up against one another.

“”The Nerazzurri have not been able to get the better of Los Blancos,” Condo emphasized. “There have been four losses in four matches in the space of fifteen months.”

He went on that “While it is true that they have faced each other with key differences, it cannot be a coincidence.”
