Italian journalist Paolo Condo believes that Inter have found a balance to their play in recent weeks that has made their matches more controlled.

Writing in his column in today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper La Repubblica, Condo praised the Nerazzurri for making their play less hectic, and called their display to beat Roma 3-0 at the Stadio Olimpico a “symphony.”

The Nerazzurri had certainly not lacked anything as an attacking force earlier in the season, with their performances in their first few matches of the campaign having seen them score a very high number of goals and constantly create chances.

The balance of the team seemed to be off, however, with Simone Inzaghi’s men sometimes looking defensively exposed, struggling to see out leads and look comfortable for ninety minutes.

During their recent run of strong form, however, the Nerazzurri have found a brand of football which has seen them look very effective on both sides of the ball simultaneously.

“Simone Inzaghi’s team has become less frenetic and more well-rounded,” Condo writes, “if before they arrived in the opposition penalty area in waves, now their constant presence in the opposition half of the pitch enhances gets the best out of their players.”

“With Edin Dzeko, not to mention Hakan Calhnoglu, who has been in a state of grace for a good month, and maybe with Inzaghi he will no longer disappear at times, they have greatly improved their buildup phase,” he added. “Their performance against Roma was a symphony.”
