Italian journalist Matteo Barzaghi discussed Inter defender Alessandro Bastoni and the fact that he’s considered unsellable in an interview with Italian broadcaster Sky Sports Italia earlier today.

“He managed to make a name for himself even though some were unhappy with the money invested to buy him. But the investment turned out to be successful because Alessandro is a player who makes a difference, in the future as well as now, considering his young age.”

Barzaghi then touched on how the 21-year-old Italian defender is considered unsellable by the Nerazzurri, regardless of any price offered.

“The player is currently not for sale despite the fact that there are several clubs interested in signing him. There’s no room for negotiation at the moment. The merits must be given to those who signed him and those who are working so hard with him, like Conte.”

He has quickly emerged as one of the brightest talents in Italy, which is why the Milanese club have no interest in listening to any offers for the player, especially considering his consistent playing time.

The 21-year-old Bastoni, who is contracted to the Nerazzurri until 2023, has made 30 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 2296 minutes. In that time, he has scored two goals, provided one assist and helped the side keep eight clean sheets.

His performances have been impressive enough that he has even managed to keep veteran defender Diego Godin on the bench regularly.
