Italian Journalist Marco Barzaghi: “Inter’s Matteo Darmian Told Me He’s Not Too Worried About A Big Player Being Sold”
Inter wingback Matteo Darmian doesn’t feel that there is too much worry of a big name player leaving the club before the transfer window closes.
This according to Italian journalist Marco Barzaghi, who reported on his YouTube channel, via FCInter1908, that he he asked the 32-year-old about the subject and got the response that there is not too much anxiety.
There are still two weeks to go in the transfer window, and the Nerazzurri have little certainty that no big name players will be sacrificed before the window slams shut.
This is a source of anxiety for the fans, for coach Simone Inzaghi, and also a potential source of unrest and negativity within the dressing room.
However, Barzaghi has explained that after asking Darmian about the matter, the indication that he got was that it is not a major worry for the 32-year-old who is more focused on working in training to improve on the pitch.
“I asked Darmian if there’s still a worry that a big name player could be sold which could weaken the team with the season already underway,” he said.
“His response was that absolutely not,” he continued, “there’s no concern, and that they need to focus on the pitch and working on their struggles to kill off matches.”
