Christian Pulisic has been put on the list of players potentially ready to reinforce AC Milan’s attack this summer.

The Gazzetta dello Sport notes that Stefano Pioli’s side have a lot of work to do in the next few months to freshen up a team that won the title a year ago but then looked increasingly stale and old in this following campaign.

One departure is already secure – after two years on loan, Brahim Diaz will return to Real Madrid for another crack at the first team there.

There are a number of options to replace him, and Pulisic is among them. The piece notes that the American may be tempting to Gerry Cardinale, the Milan owner who will want to boost his team’s presence back in his homeland.

On the pitch Pulisic brings a burst of pace and a dribble, but we just haven’t seen enough of it at Chelsea in the last couple of years. Maybe a move to Italy freshens things up and brings it all into focus again. What we’re sure of is that his future is not at Stamford Bridge, and a move to somewhere new can only help him after a few years stuck in a rut. He’s competing with some real talents for Milan’s attention – the dangerous Marcus Thuram is mentioned – but perhaps Chelsea’s good transfer relations with the Italian club will help seal a deal.
