After beating Inter in the Europa League final, Sevilla may now lend a hand to the Nerazzurri by signing Inter owned midfielder Joao Mario, according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sportitalia earlier today.

The report details how the Spanish side are looking for a replacement for former Inter man 32-year-old Argentine midfielder Ever Banega, who will be returning to Saudi Arabian side Al-Shabab after spending a season on loan with Sevilla. The 32-year-old Joao Mario has been deemed an adequate replacement for Banega and so they have expressed their interest in the player.

Other clubs are also interested in signing Joao Mario, the report continues, including fellow Spanish side Valencia and multiple clubs in the Bundesliga. The Portuguese midfielder spent this season on loan with Russian side Lokomotiv Moscow and impressed, but not enough to earn an investment from the club. He made 22 appearances across all competitions, for a total of 1832 minutes. He scored one goal and provided six assists.
