AC Milan have been hot on the trail of Morten Frendrup in recent months, but they are not the only club interested and others in Italy are also beginning to plan their potential moves.

It is rare to find bargains in the January mercato, but Frendrup could be the headlining bargain of January for the club that lands him. In recent days, it has been suggested that the midfielder is available for only €18 million, which would be a fantastic price.

Furthermore, it allows clubs to work on other departments too, which is what the Rossoneri are imaginably planning, whilst then returning to the midfielder market in the summer window if reports are to be believed.

Today, Giocondo Martorelli, a well-known agent in Italy, spoke to TMW Radio on the Maracana show about the midfielder’s future and offered a hint about which club may be leading the race for the Danish talent, and his words have been relayed by Milan News.

Fiorentina, would Frendrup be functional?

“He is a player who could fit the bill. He has quantity, quality, and experience. He could do well in an environment like Palladino’s. OK, but you also have to understand Genoa, because it’s fine to sell important players but you also have to save yourself…”
