In an interview with RMC Sport, Al Hilal attacker Neymar Jr (32) commented on the ups and downs as a player at Paris Saint-Germain.
The Brazilian international’s move to the French capital is quite possibly the sport’s highest profile transfer ever. Moving from Barcelona, the forward completed a transfer to the Ligue 1 champions worth a record-breaking €222m. Les Parisiens activated a release clause in the 32-year-old’s contract at the Blaugrana in order to complete a deal.
After arriving at the Parc des Princes, Neymar spent 6 seasons at PSG. Although the Champions League eluded him, the former Santos forward’s time in France was rather successful. He won 14 trophies during his time with Les Parisiens – winning 5 Ligue 1 titles, 5 Coupe de France trophies, 2 Coupe de la Ligue titles and the Trophée des Champions on 4 occasions.
Reminiscing on his time at the Ligue 1 club, Neymar said, “My experience at PSG was good and bad at the same time… Good, because football-wise, I think I was at the peak of my career. And bad, because I was injured for a long time and often… I didn’t finish a season.”
