Tanguy Ndombèlé’s move to Tottenham is only a matter of time, with the midfielder having visited the club’s training ground on Thursday.
That’s according to a story in the London Evening Standard which claims that the France international was in London this week all ready to put pen-to-paper on a contract with Spurs.
Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas claimed late on Thursday night that they had rejected a €45m offer from Tottenham for Ndombèlé, with the Ligue 1 side holding out for €80m.
However, according to the Standard, Mauricio Pochettino’s side are confident that the 22-year-old will join sooner rather than later for a fee of around €65m.
Apparently he has agreed a five-year contract with the club and will likely become their second-highest paid player behind only Harry Kane.
It would be something of a coup for the north London side, with Juventus, Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid all having previously expressed an interest in the Lyon star.
