🎥 It is 28 years since this classic Manchester City goal 🇬🇪

Exactly 28 years ago today, Georgi Kinkladze scored one of the greatest goals in Manchester City’s history.

Kinkladze arrived at Maine Road from Dinamo Tbilisi in the summer of 1995 and quickly established himself as a firm fans favourite.

It was a goal against Southampton on 16 March 1996 which showcased the Georgian’s low centre of gravity and deft trickery, as he beat several opposing defenders before finishing exquisitely.

City were relegated at the end of that season and Kinkladze spent two more years with the club before leaving to join Ajax in 1998.

He is still regarded as a club icon to this day.
