FC Barcelona recently managed to completely decimate FC Seoul in their latest preseason friendly. Following the win over Vissel Kobe, this was the team’s second consecutive victory in Asia. With this 7-3 demolition, the morale at Barcelona is quite high right now.

One player in particular who must be enjoying this recent victory is Spanish forward Ferran Torres. The 25-year-old Barcelona forward scored a brace against FC Seoul, and also managed to be the captain of the team for a while during the game.

Following the match, as quoted by Mundo Deportivo, he spoke about the game itself and highlighted some key improvements:

The most important thing is to improve physically and technically. Today, things looked much better. In both matches we’ve played, we’ve improved a lot and we’re on the right path.

As for getting to wear the captain’s armband, Torres did not shy away from talking about how good it felt for him as well:

Just wearing this shirt is already very important for a player, so imagine what it means to represent the captaincy. It gives you motivation to keep working, and hopefully there will be many more occasions.

With this game now wrapped up, the next fixture for Barcelona will be a game against Daegu FC. After that, the team will return to Spain and prepare themselves for the Joan Gamper Trophy clash against Como.
