Norwich City are leading the race to sign CF Montreal youngster Ismael Kone, 90min sources confirm.
The 20-year-old midfielder has enjoyed a breakout campaign in 2022, making 20 appearances for Montreal across all competitions, scoring twice and providing another three assists.
Kone's form has earned him his first two senior caps for the Canadian National Team, with John Herdman bringing the youngster on for the final 10 minutes of the 1-0 defeat to Costa Rica in March before starting him for the first half of a loss to Panama by the same scoreline a week later.

As reported by Fabrizio Romano, multiple European clubs have shown interest in Kone thanks to his strong emergence this season.
90min sources have confirmed Norwich City were one of those clubs and that the Canaries are advancing talks with the talented midfield prospect after traveling to Washington to watch Kone in CF Montreal's 2-1 win over DC United on Saturday.
Also home to USMNT striker Josh Sargent, Norwich are once again preparing for a promotion campaign in the Championship after finishing bottom of the Premier League last season.
Montreal, meanwhile, are enjoying a strong MLS campaign, sitting fourth in the Eastern Conference with 13 regular-season games still to play. Wilfried Nancy's side host reigning champions NYCFC on Saturday.
