Indian Super League (ISL) side, Jamshedpur FC are reportedly close to completing the signing of goalkeeper, Rakshit Dagar from fellow India side, Gokulam Kerala FC with IFTWC claiming that they are keen to add the shotstopper ahead of the next season.

Dagar, who joined Gokulam from Sudeva Delhi last year, was the team’s first-choice goalkeeper last season, making twenty-four appearances for them as the Kerala-based side won the I-League last time around.

In his eighteen appearances for the team last season, the goalkeeper conceded just 15 goals while also recording seven clean sheets. Rakshit has also won the I-League twice; the first time was with Punjab in 2018 followed up with Gokulam in the previous campaign.

If the move does go through it will be first time that the 29-year-old will be participating in the ISL, which is considered to be the best football league in India, though Jamshedpur believe that the player will have no problems stepping up.

Former Watford and Northampton Town manager, Aidy Boothroyd was earlier confirmed as the new head coach of the club with the management also bringing in midfielder, Sheikh Sahil from ATK Mohun Bagan, Germanpreet Singh from Chennai and Pratik Chaudhary from Bengaluru FC as part of their recruitment drive.
