Isaac Brizuela confessed that, despite missing out on the Liguilla the last two years, that he still feels that Chivas are the biggest club in Mexico.
The 28-year-old joined from Toluca back in 2015 and has seen his fair share of ups and downs at the club. He is now stuck in a relegation battle despite having won four trophies since his arrival.
“When I arrived, I realized the greatness of Chivas,” Brizuela told well-known journalist César Huerta Salcedo.
“When you go to another country, when we go to the United States… the fanbase is huge.
“When you go to another city that also supports you in the best way, you realize the greatness of the fans, the club you belong to, and all the history that this club has.
“I consider that this club, for me, is the largest in Mexico. That allows me to commit myself each game and to try to put Chivas back in a place it deserves to be in.”
The attacking midfielder will be one of the fundamental pillars in the renewed Chivas attack, which will have the experience of striker Oribe Peralta.
