Does Saturday night’s draw against FC Nantes (1-1) represent a turning point for Luis Enrique at Paris Saint-Germain? There has certainly been a proliferation of reports detailing unrest within the PSG dressing room in the wake of that result, but RMC Sport reports that tensions pre-date this match.

As per the publication, some members of the PSG dressing room struggle to understand the decisions being made by their manager, whilst others find the decisions at times unfair. RMC Sport notes that Fabián Ruiz is one of the players frustrated at the current situaton and, specifically, with Luis Enrique.

As an example, PSG’s players were surprised by the line-up chosen to face Bayern Munich in midweek. It is not the first time that the team have been surprised at the line-up, with the work done throughout the week leading the squad to believe that Luis Enrique would make different choices to the ones actually being made on matchday. There was also frustration at how late he revealed the line-up to his players, and it is not the first time that this happened.

Reports eleshwere allude to problems between Luis Enrique and other members of the dressing room. The relationship with Ousmane Dembélé is deteriorating, as per L’Équipe, whilst Bradley Barcola is also becoming increasingly frustrated, to the extent that contract extension talks are now on stand-by, according to Foot Mercato. Presnel Kimpembe, who believes he is ready to make his return, is another one who is frustrated at his current situation.

RMC Sport says that it is not yet a “crisis” situation at PSG, however, there are unmistakable signs of tensions, of a deterioration in the relationship between Luis Enrique and his players, that could blow up into a bigger issue.
