Muhamed Tijani smashed home a stunning 88th-minute volley to snatch a huge late win for Plymouth Argyle, which dragged the Pilgrims to within two points of survival and piled more misery on a faltering Sheffield United side.

The Blades looked like they were finally getting their promotion charge back on track after two straight losses, thanks to Jesurun Rak-Sakyi’s brilliant first-half strike that had them ahead going into the final stretch.

But Plymouth weren’t done. Ryan Hardie pounced in the box after a scrappy clearance from a corner to bang in the equaliser and set the stage for a wild finish.

Enter Tijani off the bench—his perfectly struck volley lit up Home Park and sent the crowd into absolute chaos as Argyle grabbed all three points in dramatic fashion.

Chris Wilder's Blades now have a job on their hands if they are to reassert themselves in the battle for a top two finish, United now five points off the automatic promotion spots.

In the other early kick off in the Championship on Saturday, Leeds United beat Preston 2-1 at Elland Road to stay top of the division.
