Jorginho has a trademark way of taking penalties, and for the most part it has worked a charm.

The Chelsea midfielder had mastered the run, hop and skip before (usually) slotting the ball away from 12 yards. It didn’t look conventional, but it was effective.

Since arriving at Stamford Bridge, the Italian has despatched ten of his eleven penalties so you would imagine Frank Lampard would’ve been confident when he stepped up after Timo Werner had been fouled 13 minutes into the Champions League clash with Krasnodar

The 28-year-old has now missed his last two spot-kicks, after Alisson Becker had denied him in the 2-0 defeat to Liverpool.

The miss has not gone down well on Twitter …
