Mehdi Taremi and Marcus Thuram will start in attack for Inter Milan against Bayer Leverkusen in the Champions League.
This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInterNews. They also report that Matteo Darmian and Carlos Augusto will start on the flanks for the match.
Inter coach Simone Inzaghi is ready to make some changes to the team that beat Parma on Friday.
This is an extremely busy period in the fixture list for the Nerazzurri.
Therefore, Inzaghi will hardly want to risk burning key players out with several important matches just around the corner.
One of the big pieces of news as far as Inzaghi’s selection decisions tomorrow comes in attack.
Sky report that Iranian international Mehdi Taremi will come into the Inter starting eleven.
The 32-year-old has started all five of Inter’s Champions League matches so far this season. And he will keep this record going tomorrow against Leverkusen.
Meanwhile, Sky reports, it is Marcus Thuram who looks likely to partner Taremi in attack. That means that Lautaro Arnautovic will drop to the bench alongside Marko Arnautovic and Joaquin Correa.
Then, in midfield, Sky report that Henrikh Mkhitayran and Nicolo Barella will get a rest.
The likes of Piotr Zielinski and Davide Frattesi will start in their place.
And then on the flanks, Denzel Dumfries will not be available. Therefore, former Manchester United veteran Matteo Darmian will take his place on the right.
And then at left-wingback Carlos Augusto will come into the team for Federico Dimarco.
