A full-back has been on McKenna’s agenda in this window and with the winter window set to end today, they have yet to bring one in.
Ipswich have Chelsea’s 18-year-old Boniface on their wish list and have approached the Blues for his signature.
Boniface is highly rated at the club but has yet to make a senior appearance for Chelsea.
Now it has been claimed that they have reached an agreement with Chelsea to sign Boniface.
Ipswich are closing in on their full-back target as the player has to undergo a medical before putting pen to paper.
