One of his last goals for the club was a winner at Leeds United, which helped his new side seal promotion and should make him a fan favourite from day one.

The Irish international, who made his debut for his country earlier this year, leaves Ewood Park two summers after joining from Peterborough United.

Szmodics will hope to make his Premier League debut on August 17, when Ipswich welcome Liverpool to Portman Road in what will be their first top flight game in 22 years.
