Inter’s Summer Transfer Window To Be Less Chaotic Than Last Summer Despite Need For Big Name Sale, Italian Media Suggest | OneFootball

Inter will not go through a summer transfer window as tumultuous as the last one even despite the need for a big name sale during the window.

This according to Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who suggest that the Nerazzurri will have a calmer summer than they did last time around, even despite the confirmation that a major sale will be necessary for financial reasons.

Yesterday’s meeting outlining the transfer strategy for the summer confirmed that a major sale will be required to meet financial goals for the summer.

This raised fears that this summer could resemble the last one which saw coach Antonio Conte abruptly left the club and was followed out the door by Achraf Hakimi, Christian Eriksen, and Romelu Lukaku.

According to the Gazzetta, however, the signals from the club are that this will be a more orderly window from the Nerazzurri even though there will be a sacrifice of a big name player.

As was the case last time around with Hakimi, a big name player is already known in advance to be on their way, although as of yet the identity of that player is not clear.

Unlike with last summer, however, the club have made clear that they want to build and strengthen even with the major sale incoming, and so a bid for another big name such as the one that arrived from Chelsea for Romelu Lukaku would not be accepted.

Moreover, the shock circumstances that forced Eriksen out of the club are highly unlikely to occur again, and so the club can feel more secure about keeping the foundations of the team mostly intact to build upon.
