Inter’s Serie A clash with Venezia this evening will go ahead as scheduled, with no new COVID cases having been turned up in Venezia’s squad.

This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, who report that the tests done in the Venetian side’s squad this morning did not reveal any new positive cases among their players.

Five players in Venezia’s squad had tested positive according to communications from the club, leading to some speculation that the fixture could be postponed if more positive cases had turned up.

The Nerazzurri have already had one Serie A match this season postponed during the spike in cases caused by the Omicron wave, with their away trip to Bologna yet to be played after the Rossoblu’s squad was hit hard by cases.

However, this will not be the case for this evening’s match, as the number of cases has not risen within Venezia’s team and they will have more than enough players available to fulfill their commitment at the San Siro.
