Inter’s poor defending is not the only reason behind the Nerazzurri’s poor start to the 2020/21 Serie A season according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Tuttosport.

Inter have conceded eight goals in their opening four games, have seven points to their name from a possible 12, are trailing league leaders AC Milan by five points and also lost the Milan derby this past weekend.

Whilst the defence is the most obvious problem, it is now the only one. This report from the Turin based news outlet goes on to state that their is an attacking imbalance in the team.

Last season Ashley Young and Antonio Candreva offered a balance that this season’s wing-backs Achraf Hakimi and Ivan Perisic do not due to them both being attack minded.

Moreover, the report states that Inter could do with a more physical player in the midfield, which would give the defence more protection.

Inter have also had some 69 shots at goal this term but have not been all that clinical with them and Christian Eriksen also remains a problem.

The Dane is in need of more confidence and needs to play regularly in order to gain confidence but every time he has come on he has not shown anything to warrant starting regularly.
