Inter’s Ivan Perisic Made Impressive Return To Nerazzurri Starting XI At Spezia, Italian Media Argue | OneFootball

Ivan Perisic showed Inter what they had been missing in recent weeks with an impressive performance in last night’s 1-1 draw at Spezia, according to the Italian media today.

The Croatian made his first start for the Nerazzurri in more than a month at the Stadio Alberto Picco, after suffering a muscular injury while on international duty.

Inter fell behind to an early goal from Diego Farias but Perisic was on hand to equalise shortly before half-time, converting Achraf Hakimi’s cross from close range.

Corriere dello Sport’s print edition said he was ‘among Inter’s most lively players’ against Vincenzo Italiano’s side, albeit he did waste a great chance to complete their comeback later on.

Perisic played 73 minutes before he was replaced by Ashley Young, but Antonio Conte will be pleased with what he saw from the 32-year-old on his return to action.

Gazzetta dello Sport and Tuttosport were also impressed with Perisic’s display in Liguria, with all three papers rating him 6.5/10.
