Inter defender Francesco Acerbi showed a middle finger to Roma fans after he scored against the Giallorossi in their recent Serie A clash.

The Nerazzurri picked up a 4-2 win over Roma at the Stadio Olimpico yesterday, despite having found themselves 2-1 down at halftime. Acerbi, who has obvious connections to Lazio, had scored the first goal. Roma had scored through Gianluca Mancini and Stephan El Sharaawy after that, but Marcus Thuram grabbed a second-half brace and Alessandro Bastoni made it 4-2 in stoppage time to seal all three points.

Sportmediaset state that Roma fans had targetted Acerbi with chants against him due to his past with Lazio, leading to the defender flashing a middle finger at them. The action escaped the referee’s attention and it is unlikely that he would face any sanction or ban from the authorities, unless the sports judge requests for a replay of the scenario and that too seems rather unlikely.
