Defenders Clare Hunt and Charlotte Grant started for Australia in their 3-1 win over Chinese Taipei in an international friendly on Wednesday morning.

Having been named in the starting XI for their double-header against Brazil, Clare made her third consecutive start and completed the full 90 minutes for the Matildas, earning her 29th cap.

‘Charli’ made her first start over the international break, having been a second half substitute in the second friendly against Brazil, and also played the full match in Melbourne. That was the 23-year-old’s 29th cap for her country.

Naz in action for the Lionesses

On Tuesday evening, Jess Naz earned her fifth cap for England as she came off the substitute bench in the 1-0 win over Switzerland in an international friendly as they continued preparations for next summer's EURO 2025.

The forward, who made her first start at Wembley Stadium at the weekend, was introduced in the closing stages of the game at Sheffield United’s Bramall Lane, replacing Aggie Beever-Jones, as Grace Clinton’s early strike was enough to secure the victory.
