Inter aren’t planning to significantly raise their offer in contract extension talks with wingback Ivan Perisic.

This according to Italian news outlet La Repubblica, who report that the Nerazzurri are relatively firm in their offer of around €4.5 million net per season, and would allow the player to leave if he does not lower his demands.

Perisic is seeking a net of €6 million per season to agree a new deal with the Nerazzurri, in line with what the likes of Lautaro Martinez and Marcelo Brozovic earn on the deals that they signed this season.

However, the club are looking to trim their wage bill, and do not wish to hand a contract of that size to a player of Perisic’s age.

Should the Nerazzurri not be able to agree a new deal with Perisic, they feel that his successor is already in the squad in the form of Robin Gosens, who signed from Atalanta during the January transfer window with the aim of taking over from the Croat in the long term.
