Inter will not go much beyond the offer of a two-year deal worth €4.5 million net per season to convince Ivan Perisic to extend his contract beyond the end of the season.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that the Nerazzurri will stand firm on their plans and wage structure in the decisive talks with the 33-year-old.

Inter will have another meeting with Perisic and his representatives soon to settle once and for all his contract situation.

The Croat already has offers from Juventus and Chelsea which meet his demands of €6 million net per season, which arrived after the Coppa Italia final.

The Nerazzurri will still try and convince him to stay past the end of the current campaign, but they will not match these offers, and will reiterate their €4.5 million net per season offer, perhaps going a little higher through add-ons.

The wage structure at the club does not allow for offering a significant pay raise to a player who will turn 34 next February, whilst the club are confident that they have secured the long-term replacement in Robin Gosens already.
