Inter are in no rush to extend the contract of Lautaro Martinez according to a report from Turin based news outlet Tuttosport.

The Nerazzurri club and the player’s agent Beto Yaque held exploratory talks back in August and further talks are expected to take place at the end of October.

Inter do not feel that they need to rush around due to the fact the 22-year-old is already under contract with the club until 2023 and because he is already on an already adequate €2.5 million annually.

They would like to extend his current contract by a further season to 2024 as a reward for his performances in his first season with the club and his good start to this season.

He currently has a €111 million release clause in his contract with the club and Inter wish to remove the clause from the new contract although Yaque is understood to want to keep it in the contract.
