Inter wing-back Dalbert is due to return from his loan spell at Rennes before joining Spanish side Real Valladolid for the rest of the season, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.

The Brazilian has failed to settle in Ligue 1 after joining on a season-long loan last summer, to the extent Rennes will cut the deal short in January, as per Di Marzio on his website.

La Liga strugglers Valladolid, who have Nerazzurri legend Ronaldo as their president, will take the 27-year-old for six months once he has returned to Inter.

Dalbert has provided no goal contributions for Rennes this season and has been an unused substitute in each of their last two matches.

His disappointing performances, coupled with a perceived poor attitude, have seen him relegated to the substitutes’ bench in favour of 19-year-old Adrien Truffert.

During his loan stint with the French club, Dalbert, who joined Inter back in 2017 in a circa €20 million deal from Nice, has made a total of nine appearances.

Valladolid lie 17th in La Liga, two points above the relegation zone after 18 games.
