Inter are going to ask Lautaro Martinez not to go on international duty with Argentina in the next international break so he can stay fresh and recapture his form for the Nerazzurri, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Nerazzurri want the striker to stay in Italy during the next international break as the club do not think it is vital for the national team that he takes part in the fixtures.

The situation is the same for Joaquin Correa who is just returning to fitness after a long injury lay-off. Argentina have already qualified for the 2022 Qatar World Cup so Inter do not want their players making long and exhausting journeys around South America and risking injuries.

Lautaro Martinez is in very poor form for Inter and will be hoping to finally find the net against Salernitana on Friday night.
