Inter remain interested in Napoli captain Lorenzo Insigne, and will look to sign him next summer on a free transfer should his contract with the Partenopei expire.
This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that the 30-year-old is still a major target for the Nerazzurri and that they are following his situation.
Insigne’s current deal with the Partenopei is set to run out at the end of June 2022, and contract talks are reported to have decisively stalled between him and his club.
This situation has led to the interest of a number of clubs, with the Nerazzurri the front-runners and having seriously weighed up a move for him over the summer.
In the end, the Italian was not brought in during the summer transfer window and Joaquin Correa was signed from Lazio instead, but the Nerazzurri remain very interested in the Napoli man and will move to bring him in next summer should he not agree an extension with Napoli.
