Inter will rely upon striker Romelu Lukaku to get them through to the next round of the UEFA Champions League according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Tuttosport.

Lukaku started this past weekend’s 3-0 away win over Sassuolo on the bench before coming on for a little time at the end of the match so should be in great condition for tonight’s match versus Borussia Monchengladbach, which Inter have to win if they are to stand any chance of making it through.

Lukaku has been prolific for Inter with him having scored 43 goals in 62 appearances for the club but has struggled to score goals in the Champions League this term. He has only scored once in the competition this season but the good thing is that that goal came against tonight’s opponents.

The report from the Turin based news outlet goes on to add that the Belgian national team forward must make a step up in order to be on the same levels as the likes of Bayern Munich’s Roberto Lewandowski and Atletico Madrid’s Luis Suarez, who always make their mark in the Champions League.
