Inter are set to make the extension of coach Simone Inzaghi’s contract until the end of June 2024 their first order of business in terms of renewals this week.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the club have no doubts about continuing on with their coach and that they will show their faith with a contract extension.
Inzaghi’s current deal is set to run until the end of June 2023, but the aim is already to extend his tenure into the longer term.
President Steven Zhang has been highly impressed with how the former Lazio manager has fit in despite a difficult summer transfer window which saw key players depart.
The coach has worked quickly to reshape the team in line with his preferred tactical ideas, and he enjoys a calm and candid relationship with all of the club directors as well as Zhang himself.
