Inter are expected to give Danilo D’Ambrosio a new contract to keep him at the club next season, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As per Gazzetta.it, D’Ambrosio and Matteo Darmian are both set to continue with the Nerazzurri as their versatility in defence is useful to Antonio Conte.

Darmian saw his move from Parma made permanent in February and was Inter’s hero recently when he scored the winner at home to Cagliari on April 11.

Ashley Young and Aleksandar Kolarov, meanwhile, are both expected to leave the club in the summer when their current deals expire.

Inter are studying their options in defence ahead of the 2021-22 campaign and remain interested in Roma’s Alessandro Florenzi, who might not be kept by Paris Saint-Germain when his loan deal ends.

Florenzi is potentially an ideal back-up to Achraf Hakimi in the right wing-back position and has already worked under Conte with Italy’s national team.
