Inter are guaranteed to earn more than €44 million from playing in next season’s UEFA Champions League, a report in the Italian media explained today.

As per Calcio e Finanza, the Nerazzurri will receive €15.25 million for qualifying plus another €10 million for finishing top of Serie A (which earns 40% of Italy’s market pool revenue).

Inter will then get at least €15.5 million for their historic ranking, which is the amount they would receive if they were 19th in that particular table (the worst-case scenario, in terms of other teams who could still qualify for the tournament).

They will also get a minimum of €3.4 million from the second market pool, which is related to how far a team progress compared to other sides from the same league.

Inter’s revenue would therefore total €44.15 million, but that is only a bare minimum because it does not include bonus payments for results or matchday revenue.

Juventus would get the most of Serie A’s clubs with €51.05 million, while AC Milan would be third behind Inter with at least €42.75 million.

Atalanta would be guaranteed €25.85 million regardless of which other teams completed next season’s line-up.
