Inter are ready to start talks towards the free transfer of Juventus forward Paulo Dybala in the summer, but his preference is to stay on at the Bianconeri.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the Nerazzurri have been in contact with the Argentine’s agent Jorge Antun about a possible summer switch.

Antun will be in Italy in January or February to start talks with the Bianconeri about a renewal for Dybala, whose deal in Turin is set to expire at the end of June.

The Bianconeri are offering the 28-year-old a net of €8 million per season plus €2 million in add-ons, while he is also considering whether the project being offered will be a competitive one which he is at the centre of, given that he is in the prime of his career.

Should the Argentine not be convinced by Juventus, Inter will be waiting in the wings, as he is admired by CEO Beppe Marotta and coach Simone Inzaghi.

The Nerazzurri will save on €16 million gross in salary during the summer when Arturo Vidal and Matias Vecino are released from the club, so the same amount could be guaranteed to Dybala as was received by Christian Eriksen at the club – €7.5 million net per season plus performance-related add-ons.

Tottenham Hotspur and Barcelona are also among Dybala’s suitors should he leave the Bianconeri on a free transfer, but it remains to be seen whether he reaches an agreement with his current club first.
