Inter will look to bring in a new goalkeeper this summer, with Juan Musso of Udinese amongst their options, but will keep hold of incumbent Samir Handanovic.

As reported in today’s newspaper edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Nerazzurri have decided that a new keeper is amongst their priorities as they look to build on winning the Scudetto.

Musso is their prime target but a deal for him could prove challenging, with Udinese ready to hold out amidst interest from other clubs and Inter unable to commit large funds to a deal.

The Nerazzurri will look to bring the cost down by offering players in exchange, but if a deal is not viable they will turn their attention to Hellas Verona’s Marco Silvestri.

Even if a new goalkeeper is brought in, Inter will keep hold of club captain Handanovic and hope to emulate Juventus’ approach to veteran Gianluigi Buffon in 2017, with the Slovenian retained in order to support the new arrival.

Handanovic, meanwhile, is set to match Walter Zenga’s record 328 Serie A appearances for Inter as a goalkeeper should he start against Juventus today.
