Inter striker Lautaro Martinez isn’t focused on Cristiano Ronaldo as he feels he and his teammates can hurt Juventus.

The two sides face off in the Derby d’Italia in a match that could be crucial for the Serie A title race.

The Nerazzurri have a four point lead over the defending champions and are looking to secure a first win over Juve since September 2016.

Coach Antonio Conte has picked an experienced XI as he looks to secure his first win over the Bianconeri since moving into the dugout.

The match has been billed as a showdown between Inter striker Lautaro Martinez and Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo.

And while Lautaro acknowledges that CR7 will be a big factor for the opposition he feels that his side have the weapons to hurt the Old Lady as they look to push seven points clear of their title rivals at San Siro tonight.

Moments ago Lautaro Martinez told Inter TV: “He’ll definitely be an important player for them but we have ours too.

“We have to be ruthless, also in the defensive phase, so as not to create spaces and when we attack we need to try and hurt them.”

It’s been 10 months since the sides last met, with Juve taking a 2-0 win in Turin in the final match before the Serie A shutdown.

That dealt a serious blow to the Nerazzurri’s Scudetto ambitions but Lautaro thinks his side is in a better place now.

“We’re certainly more solid, we’ve worked hard to grow and we have to prove that today  by taking another step forward.

“That’s the important thing, to go out there and do what we’ve worked hard for.”
