Romelu Lukaku’s agent has told Manchester United they still have interest from Inter for the Belgian striker, according to Corriere dello Sport.
Lukaku missed another preseason friendly yesterday when the Red Devils played Tottenham, as he awaits the Nerazzurri’s next move.
Inter have had a €60 million offer rejected and it seems they cannot raise it any higher for now.
United want to sell Lukaku on a permanent deal and they are not interested in securing Ivan Perisic in exchange.
Inter hope they can offload Mauro Icardi soon so they can return to United with a more convincing offer.
The club are not in a hurry to sign Lukaku, though, because they are confident they can secure a deal for Edin Dzeko imminently.
Beppe Marotta wants to bring the Bosnian in before Inter resume training in Europe after their preseason tour of Asia.
Roma want Gonzalo Higuain or another suitable replacement for the 33-year-old before they let him go, though.
Marotta returned to Italy with Piero Ausilio yesterday and will prioritise securing sales in the next few days.
Monaco are interested in three of Inter’s unwanted squad players, which are likely to be Miranda, Joao Mario and Dalbert.
Rafael Leao remains an option in attack but Inter will also continue monitoring Edinson Cavani’s situation at Paris Saint-Germain.
