Inter have increased their interest in young Sassuolo striker Giacomo Raspadori, though they know that they will have to make sales before any major arrivals.

This according to Italian broadcaster SportMediaset, who reported today that Raspadori is one of the most concrete targets for the Nerazzurri, with Inter CEO Beppe Marotta advancing negotiations with Sassuolo Giovanni Carnevali.

Raspadori is thought to be a potential target to replace Lautaro Martinez should the Argentine leave in the summer, although he may also be brought in even if Martinez stays, as a backup for the 23-year-old.

Before the Nerazzurri can seriously consider a deal for a player such as Raspadori, however, they must improve their balance sheet through outgoings.

Belgian midfielder Radja Nainggolan is expected to be the first player to leave, with the 33-year-old set to make his loan move to Cagliari permanent.

Meanwhile, agent of Achraf Hakimi and Lautaro Martinez has suggested that “maybe” the Moroccan will be the player gone in the summer, while the Argentine’s future remains to be seen, with the Nerazzurri needing to sell a major squad member to raise capital gains.
