Inter speed up Edin Dzeko renewal after Napoli winner | OneFootball

Inter are now looking to escalate the process of Edin Dzeko’s renewal at the Nerazzurri.

Dzeko was on the scoresheet for Simone Inzaghi’s side yesterday, as his goal proved vital for the Nerazzurri’s 1-0 win over Napoli. The goal means that Napoli aren’t unbeaten in Serie A anymore and there is a eight point gap between them and Inter.

Marco Conterio has reported about the situation of Dzeko and his future at Inter, stating that the Nerazzurri are looking to speeden up talks regarding his new deal. Inter have no intention of losing him, with his current deal expiring at the end of the current campaign.

A meeting between the two parties is expected to take place soon and they will try to sort out a new deal for the player soon.

In his Inter career, Dzeko has scored 28 goals and has 14 assists to his name. In his stint at Roma, the Bosnian scored 119 goals and racked up 54 assists before moving to the Nerazzurri in the summer of 2021.
