Alessandro Bastoni did not complete training with his Inter teammates today, suggesting that he could miss the coming Supercoppa Italiana final with Napoli.

The Nerazzurri will battle it out with the Partenopei for the trophy on Monday evening at 19.00 UK time in Riyadh. The victor takes home €8m and the runners-up earn €5m, making it an important match for both teams.

Inter booked their spot in the Supercoppa Italiana final after beating Lazio 3-0 in their semi-final, whilst Napoli secured a 3-0 win over Fiorentina the day prior. In their league meeting back in December, Simone Inzaghi’s side left the Campania capital 3-0 winners.

As reported by TMW, Bastoni only carried out a part of today’s training session with his Inter teammates in Riyadh, breaking off to carry out individual exercises. He is now in doubt for the Supercoppa final against Napoli, with everything depending on tomorrow morning’s session.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan completed the entirety of the training session and is expected to start in the final on Monday evening.

Bastoni’s absence would force Inzaghi to tinker with his Nerazzurri backline, possibly moving Francesco Acerbi to the left side, with Stefan de Vrij in the centre and Benjamin Pavard on the right.
