Inter could make another move to sign Alessandro Florenzi in the summer, according to a report in the Italian media today.
Florenzi is at Paris Saint-Germain on a season-long loan and the Ligue 1 champions have an option to make his move from Roma permanent for €9 million at the end of the campaign.
Gazzetta dello Sport’s print edition said PSG had shown no sign of intending to sign Florenzi on a permanent deal and that Inter were planning to take advantage.
Antonio Conte knows Florenzi very well after he coached him while in charge of Italy’s national team, while Beppe Marotta previously wanted to sign the 30-year-old at Juventus.
Inter have made exploratory contact with Florenzi’s representatives and it seems the Italian international is a player the Nerazzurri would be able to afford.
Florenzi is under contract with Roma until 2023 and the Giallorossi would be unable to demand much more than the €9 million they want from PSG.
Conte would be able to use Florenzi as a wing-back in his 3-5-2 system but he could also play in Inter’s midfield three if and when necessary.
He has made 29 appearances in all competitions for PSG this season, scoring twice and providing one assist.
