Lazio have placed a €4 million asking price on defender Francesco Acerbi, and Inter would not be at all keen on reaching this amount in an offer for the 34-year-old.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the Nerazzurri are reluctant to move for Acerbi for any kind of substantial fee whilst the Biancocelesti would still like to cash in on his sale.

Acerbi remains a player on Inter’s radar as a possible signing to strengthen the defensive depth by replacing Andrea Ranocchia, although there are several players who they are targeting ahead of him.

The 34-year-old could represent an idea for later in the window, although likely only if the Biancocelesti come down in their valuation of him.

Right now Lazio have made clear that they would expect a fee to allow Acerbi to leave given that he still has a season left on his deal, but Inter would not have any intention of meeting this.
