Inter recorded just over €60 million less in revenue in the last financial year compared to the previous one according to a report from Italian news outlet Calcio e Finanza.

Inter recorded revenues of €230 million in the 2019/20 fiscal year which ended June 30, 2020, a €61 million decrease compared to the previous year in which they recovered revenues of €291 million.

Part of the ‘lost’ revenue has however been moved over to this year’s fiscal year, namely €19 million from sponsors, €8.1 million in Serie A television rights money and €18.5 million in UEFA television rights money.

The reason the money has been moved to this fiscal year is because of the 2019/20 season going into this fiscal year due to COVID-19.

The report goes on to explain that the contract with proposed new shirt sleeve sponsor IC Markets has been cancelled. The contract has been cancelled due to their failure to comply with their contractual payment obligations. They had already paid Inter €2.5 million and have filed a lawsuit against the resolution of the contract.
