Inter were held to a 1-1 draw by Salernitana on Friday evening in Salerno, as Antonio Candreva came back to haunt his former club.

It wasn’t the first time that Candreva cost Inter and performed well against them, as the Italian managed to score from a long way out in stoppage time to make sure that Inter dealt with another hammer blow, after having failed to beat Fiorentina, Juventus and Porto in their last few games.

The Nerazzurri are now in a race for the top four but with Simone Inzaghi’s future said to be in balance, another stat is a rather troubling one for the side. They have now failed to win in their last six games in all competitions and it is their worst streak since February 2018, with the number being at 10 back then.

It has been reported that Inzaghi has three games to salvage his time at the club, with his time usually likely to be up in the summer.
