Inter sat down with Mauro Icardi earlier today to discuss his future with the club according to a report from Gazzetta dello Sport.

Nerazzurri officials re-affirmed their longheld stance that he has no future with the club and that they are looking to move him on during the ongoing transfer window.

Icardi still has two years left to run on his contract with the club but seemingly risks sitting on the sidelines entirely for the duration of his deal if he does not find himself a new club.

As things currently stand Napoli look the most likely next destination for the Argentine striker, who has not featured whatsoever over the course of pre-season, although some reports state that the Partenopei are reluctant to meet the striker’s wage demands.

Roma have also been linked with a move for the troubled 26-year-old, who was stripped of the captain’s armband during the course of this past season.
