Like Milan, Inter also finalized their balance sheets on Monday, which disclosed that two players, Francesco Acerbi and Matteo Darmian, previously believed to be on expiring contracts have instead prolonged them with no formal announcements. They are now tied to them until 2026.

On the other hand, that doesn’t necessarily mean they’ll be in the squad for the next season. The Nerazzurri could rescind their deals by paying a €500k penalty, Calciomercato informs. Instead, the expiration date for Stefan De Vrij is indeed June 2025. The club can unilaterally re-up by activating an option before a deadline near the end of the campaign, as his agent Federico Pastorello recently hinted.

Inter tallied record-high profits, €473,2M, and cut the losses from €85,4 to €35,7M in a year. President Giuseppe Marotta weighed in following a meeting of the board (via Quotidiano Sportivo).

“The recent results would have been impossible without Oaktree’s support. They have been close to us since our difficult moments back in 2021. They will help us accelerate the process to rebalance the books to guarantee our competitiveness along with financial and operative sustainability. We aim to get younger too, which takes some patience.”

The exec addressed the inquiry about the Curva.

“We’re the injured party and have no means to defend ourselves. The new stadium will help us strength the relationship with the healthy part of our fan base.”

Inter are evaluating whether to create their second team in 2025/2026. Instead, CEO Alessandro Antonello stressed the importance of building their arena.

“It’s one of the principal assets to close the gap that separates us from the top European clubs.”
